Sunbird Ku Chawe
Located in Zomba, the old colonial capital of Malawi, Sunbird Ku Chawe perches 10km away from Zomba City Centre 1,300 meters atop Zomba plateau. With the unique mountain location and the forest setting, the resort is indeed the premier mountain resort within Sunbird group and the country at large. Built in 1969, the resort has a total of 37 rooms in varied categories ideal for different customer needs be it leisure or business. The hotel sits on the edge of Zomba Plateau, which rises to nearly 2200m, (7000ft), with the highest peaks on the rim forming a saucer shaped bowl. Around this rim are some of the most stunning views in Africa. The resort is a 90 minute drive from Chileka International Airport in Blantyre, and transport can be provided at a nominal fee.
